There are several new complexes in Fort Lee that are advertising luxury living with top-of-the-line amenities. A short list of communities built in the last 5 years would include Ridge Pointe, The Modern, Hudson Lights, and Twenty50 by Windsor. Down the road in Edgewater you have a few more like The Oyster, The View at Edgewater, and Riello. The Modern is building a second tower, next to the one that is already finished, that should be finished in 2017.
As I was searching for apartments in Bergen County New Jersey, I ran across a website that helps you find no fee apartments in New Jersey called nobrokerfeenj.com. They had 42 listings in Fort Lee, 81 listings in Edgewater, and 24 listings in Englewood. They had other listings outside of Bergen County including Secaucus, Hoboken, Weehawken, and Port Imperial.
Luxury living isn't limited to the eastern side of Bergen County, next to the river. In Upper Saddle River, there is a luxury garden apartment community called The Commons. While this is not as new as some of the others on our list. This community offers more green space around the community than the hi-rise buildings in Fort Lee or Edgewater.
I think we can conclude that luxury apartment living in Bergen County, NJ is a growing industry. I believe this is going to continue for the next few years, as people continue to move out of Manhattan into a more rural area. There are more young professionals coming to the city to start a career, hence, the need for additional residences. While real estate prices are rising, developers continue to get the most out of the property.
